I started my patient group ‘Let the beat go on’ two years ago. In my group there are a lot of young people with heart diseases and heart failure, for example young women who suffer from heart failure because of the chemo or radiotherapy they had years ago to survive breast cancer, but also a lot of young sporters who actually didn’t know that they had a heart disease until they got a heart attack on the soccer field. For me being part of the iHHub is very important because I think that when we reunite ourselves we really can make a difference in the care of heart failure patients around the world. Also we can learn from each other and make a strong fist to policy makers to let them know that we are alive and that we only have one mission in life and that is to survive.
