As part of European Heart Failure awareness days, the Polyclinique of Poitiers in partnership with the French Society of Cardiology, the cardiaque rehabilitation Centre the Moulin Vert and Association Vie Et Cœur “AVEC has organized an evening of festive entertaiment on 23rd May at the Salons de Blossac in Poitiers. Admission is free.
The evening begins at 18:30 with an exhibition of visual arts (sculptures and paintings) created for this occasion as part of a competition, launched in March 2018 The winners will be selected by a jury, and three prizes (500€, 400€ & 300€) will be awarded to the top three artists.
The evening of music, dance, theatrical improvisations and a One Woman Show will persue at 20:00. Professional artists from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional will stage a music-dance show around the themes of suffering, serenity and hope, all of which characterize heart failure, with works by Schnittke, Bach and Schubert. After which comedian ‘Charl’Hot’ and her One Woman Show will provide fun & laughter around a theme that we do not readily associate with humor. She will be followed by a brief intermission with a cocktail buffet of low-salt foods and non-alcoholic beverages. At the end of the intermission, the public will be invited to return to the theater by the actors of the theater group “Quiproquos” who propose a series of improvisations involving the audience, always in a humorous form, again around the theme heart failure.
The whole evening will be filmed by a professional team. We have invited local elected officials and the mayors of Grand Poitiers, local newspapers, televison & media are also invited.
